Company and employees stay diligent to deliver critical orders.
Calumet Electronics is a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer located in the remote region of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The company and its employees continue to work together and play a critical role in the fight against COVID-19.
Calumet’s 300 plus dedicated employees produce over 500,000 printed circuit boards each year for the American medical device industry each year. In the past few weeks, more than 60 parts found in ventilators and other breathing machines have been produced for four suppliers that are relying on Calumet.
“We are prioritizing and delivering these types of orders ASAP. Our committed employees, technologies, and 50 years of experience ensures that Calumet delivers reliable parts that will work without fail in medical equipment,” said Todd Brassard, VP and Chief Operating Officer.
Global COVID-19 repercussions continue to slow offshore delivery of orders while increasing the urgent demand for domestic production. There are less than 100 domestic PCB manufacturers and only a handful with the experience and quality standards to produce PCBs for components that save lives. Calumet Electronics continues to deliver extraordinary quality and is ready for the challenge.
Brassard continues, “We could not be prouder of our employees who are stepping up to the challenge. While everything about COVID-19 presents incredible challenges, the Calumet team is staying focused on what they do best and taking this on with an incredible amount of determination.”
The health of Calumet employees and their families continues to be a top priority. To protect everyone in their critical manufacturing positions, Calumet Electronics is proactively following the recommendations of state and federal officials with restricted travel, restricted access, heath monitoring, social distancing, and aggressive cleaning and disinfecting regimens.
