Calumet and MacDermid Alpha have collaborated on innovative technologies for more than 30 years. MacDermid employees Jim Watkowski and Chuck Maetzold, now retired, forged the relationship beginning in the early 1990s. Since then, the two companies have developed game-changing ideas, like making holes conductive with M-Systems electroless copper. The base of shared knowledge now includes electrolytic metallization, copper hole fill, and Affinity ENIG, a world-class final finish process.
Elden Hendrickson, Jr., Calumet Electronics Vice President/CPO, says the key to the relationship is the caliber of MacDermid Alpha’s people. “Their Senior Technical Representative, Eric Mueller, has 40 years of PCB fabricating know-how.
