Employee Spotlight: Tina Rule – Primary Imaging AOI Operator
Tina Rule is an Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)/ Primary Imaging Operator at Calumet Electronics. Since she started in 2019, her growing mastery of Primary Imaging has helped her to achieve cross-trainer status. She now helps train many Calumet employees in the best practices in the Primary Imaging Department.
Tina’s work is part of a company-wide cross-training program to empower a broad sector of Calumet Electronics employees with process expertise in multiple departments.
According to Mike Messner, Calumet’s Employee Development and Training Manager, investing in training and talent both expands and strengthens the company’s workforce. “We’re happy to recognize Tina for all the good she brings to Factory 1 and the entire plant,” said Messner. “As we grow and evolve, we have encouraged Tina to fill a void and help her team. She has really stepped up to the challenge.”
Messner says Tina is now instrumental in Calumet’s training efforts. She is outstanding with new operators and adept at explaining the processes in ways that her colleagues can understand. She has also started cross-training in Calumet’s AOI department to gain proficiency in other production areas.
Tina especially enjoys working on Calumet’s DoD-ready projects. “I like the fact that we do military orders and love that I can check and ensure that everything is proper and correct,” she said. “Being able to work with friends and family is an added bonus.”
