Heather Knuckle, has been a valuable member of the Calumet Electronics team since 2017.
Each of our PCBs goes through a rigorous inspection. This multi-step process is essential to ensuring that every board meets industry standards. As an IPC-certified surface inspector, Heather carefully examines PCBs to ensure they meet IPC-A-600 acceptability criteria. After she sorts out the rejects and defects, she moves on to the next step: adding surface finishes like ENiG, silver, lead-free, and leaded solder. Heather has been trained in many inspection areas and moves between the copper surface and final inspection to help wherever bottlenecks are present.
“Heather is a very valuable member of the production team and an excellent fit for the attention to detail that this job demands,” said Michael Messner, Employee Development & Training Manager. “She’s diligent and dedicated to doing her best each day. When Heather had to renew her IPC certification, she felt she knew the material well enough that she didn’t need the classroom review. And she passed the tests for both modules—way to go, Heather!”
Heather likes putting to use the skills it takes to do her job. She also likes the friendly and supportive atmosphere. “Every day when I come in, I feel valued,” she said. Team members like Heather play a critical role in maintaining Calumet Electronics’ reputation. If a customer receives faulty boards, we risk losing their trust, or even their repeat business. We’re grateful for the care and attention that Heather and others charged with following QMS processes bring to their jobs each day. Thank you, Heather!
