The 1920s was a decade of unprecedented prosperity with swift advances in assembly-line production and efficiency, as witnessed in the advances by Henry Ford and the Model T. As America enters another ’20s decade, will there be continued advancements in domestic production and efficiency, with the utilization of cognition and automation? With the continuing growth in electronics for automobiles and aviation, along with the surge of the Internet of Things and Industry 40, will this sustain growth for domestic electronics manufacturers?
As we launch into a New Year and a new decade, how do we set the intentions required to ensure manufacturing, especially electronic manufacturing, is strong and available for the 2020s? We need to especially consider the defense, aerospace, medical, and automotive sectors that drive the growth and pride in our country.
Calumet Electronics is setting its intentions for the New Year to strategically develop solutions based on world-class manufacturing, partners in profit, lean manufacturing and investing time to develop and support real solutions for the aging infrastructure and electronics manufacturing in the United States. To do this, Calumet is committing to growth in the required technology for the high-reliability market sectors: defense, aerospace, medical, and critical infrastructure. As a team, we will also actively support the new Trusted Electronics Supplier Group that will support IPC and the Executive Agent for Printed Circuit Boards to develop highly attainable and strategic plans to advance and ensure the reinvestment in the United States to increase the prosperity of electronics manufacturing.
Happy New Year from Calumet Electronics!
